Many refer to the blueberry as the “super-food” that has been at the top of the list of nutritionist for many years. The berry can be beneficial in adding exciting flavor and healthy nutrition to many popular foods, and most importantly, the many health and nutrition benefits for maintaining a life long healthy body.

It is well known to be one of the most consumed and grown fruits of many berry varieties in the entire world. The strawberry is also known for the number of health benefits that contain a high level of nutritional value and are very low in calories, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, that are an essential part of maintaining a healthy body.

As with many fresh berry fruits, the raspberry is an essential part of any daily nutritional health diet, along with exercise in maintaining body weight, muscle tone, and in fending off many different illnesses and deceases that plague us today. It can also add to the enjoyment of additional flavor to your favorite foods.

Blackberry being a close cousin of the raspberry, it features many of the same health benefits as the Raspberry, such as, in fighting certain kinds of cancers, lowering the risk heart deceases, and as well as many other deceases. As for growing in your garden, this berry is resilient, easy to grow and maintain. 
 

Cranberries Cranberry
A native to North America, the cranberry is considered a tart fruit.  It was thought to be essential to Native Americans as a food source and medicinal purposes. Its method of natural plant growth is much different then most other fruits, in that it grows in what is referred to as “bogs”. As a health benefit, this berry is best known in reducing urinary tract infections, and various other known infections and deceases.

Considered a berry, it is a very popular eatable health fruit worldwide. Most notably, the grape is used to make a variety of wines. Itspopularity does not stop there. They are found in many home gardens worldwide. Grape plants are hardy, easy to grow, and to maintain.  When consumed on a daily basis, their health and nutrition benefits are endless.

GooseberriesGooseberry              
The gooseberry is most commonly related to the currant.  It is available in many related variety, ranging from very tart to the semi-sweet in taste.  This berry provides many health remedies, such as reducing blood sugar levels in diabetic patients, protein for building healthy organs and muscles , and many more health remedies.

 

HuckleberryHuckleberry
A  fruit known as the Huckleberry  is grown predominately in the wild, on the side of mountainous slopes at high elevations.  The berry  has  been known to be home grown.  Excellent addition to many popular foods. It helps in reducing many health problems, such as, lowering blood sugar in diabetics. and maintaining good health by providing excellent nutritional value
 

BoysenberriesBoysenberry
As you may have experienced, the boysenberry has a definite tart flavor that can be eaten fresh from the vine, added as a topping or as an ingredient to your favorite foods. It is a very manageable fruit if one decides to grow them in home garden. More importantly, the berry provides many health and nutritional benefits, such as being rich in several vitamins and minerals, and much more.  

 

LingonberriesLingonberry
A close cousin of the blueberry and cranberry, the lingonberry is known as a flowering plant with large berries that grows primarily in the northern hemisphere.   It is a very popular wild berry fruit and a native to the Scandinavians, mainly in the form of jams.  It is a valuable food source known to be used as herbal medicine, including many other health benefits.
